The Bible does not tell us what Goliath&#039;s sword weighed; however, it does tell us about his spear:

A simple conversion from &lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shekel&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;shekels&lt;/a&gt; yields about 14.4 pounds. 

As far as his sword goes, the Philistines are thought to be or to have connections with Mycenaean Greeks. Thus you could look at some examples of greek swords which are documented better. Perhaps you may be able to extrapolate from the average sword size/weight at the time, and then guess at an increase in proportion based on the size of Goliath vs the average sized man of the period.</description>
